Takeoff Properties

Property Name Description
Angle <angle value> between 0° and 90°
  • Sets fitting body angle.
Center Offset <numeric value>
  • Sets offset distance between takeoff center line and its parent duct's center line.
    Note: The allowable value keeps the tap within depth/width or diameter of the duct.
Center To Top Distance <numeric value>
  • Sets distance between End1/2 and End3 connect points.
Connection | End Type fl -<numeric value>
  • Sets and sizes end with a flange connection.
m -<numeric value>
  • Sets and sizes end with a male connection.
fe -<numeric value>
  • Sets and sizes end with a female connection.
Separate End Type entries for each End Spec with a semi colon.

Example: fl-2;fe-.13 creates a flange at End1 with size 2, and a female connection at End2 with an overall reduction of component's dimensions of .13

Connection 1 | Length (L1) Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets straight length leading to End3 for rectangular shapes.
  • Sets the length of male connections for round and oval shapes.
    Note: For rectangular taps, it's reset to 0.
Damper | Angle <angle value> between 0° and 90°
  • Sets internal damper angle.
    • 0° angle value sets damper to fully closed position.
    • 90° angle value sets damper to fully opened position.
With Damper property must be set to true for Damper Angle property to be effective.
Damper | Offset <numeric value>
  • Sets offset distance between End3 connect point to damper actuator.
With Damper property must be set to true for Damper Angle property to be activated.

Limited by Joint Size property.

Incline Angle <angle value> between 10° and 90°
  • Sets angle between End1/2 axis and End3 axis.
Inline Length Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets distance between contact with parent duct and End3 connect point.
    Note: For rectangular taps, it's 3/4 of Width3.
Joint Size Positive <numeric value>
  • Sets flange size where takeoff mounts to duct.
Radius 1 (R1) <numeric value>
  • Sets primary radius. Negative values reverse direction.
Radius 2 (R2) <numeric value>
  • Sets secondary radius. Negative values reverse direction.
Rise <numeric value>
  • Sets top offset. Top is fully flat with a zero value. Limited by Offset Options property.
Run <numeric value>
  • Sets right offset. Right is fully flat with a zero value. Limited by Offset Optionsy property.
Saddle Length <numeric value>
  • Sets the length of the saddle where it meets the main fitting body.
Saddle Size <numeric value>
  • Sets the length of both insets to saddle.
Offset Options

<null value>

  • Frees bottom saddle from any symmetry constraints.

  • Sets symmetry of bottom saddle blend towards main body.
inset= <numeric value>:<numeric value>
  • Sets bottom saddle inset value based on ratio of keyed in values and largest possible value for inset.

    Example: For input <inset=X:Y>, solve equation Inset1=MaxInset*X/(X+Y)

Take Off Joint Type
  • 0-none
  • 1-flanged
  • 2-RoundPlate
  • Sets takeoff's tap connection to main duct style.
With Damper

  • Sets damper to on or off condition.
